Did you know that the wreckage of the USS San Diego off the coast of Long Island is also known as the "Lobster Hotel"? A fun fact I learned at the aquarium!
Hi, all-- sorry this is coming to you later than usual! I lost track of time reading in the park. It looks like New York is actually giving us real spring weather, so I gotta take advantage of it while I can.
I've actually been reading quite a few books, lately: Tenderness by Derrick Austin; If I Don't Know by Wendy Cope; The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune, and Little Weirds by Jenny Slate, the latter of which is now basically my entire personality and I can't stop thinking about it.
When I'm not devouring books, I'm watching K-Dramas, as per usual. I'm currently on episode four of Crash Course in Romance, which is a pretty slow burn. It's set in the world of upper middle class secondary education in Korea, which I know nothing about and seems very intense, but I'm entertained so far. I don't know how much I like the characters yet, but I'm willing to continue on for now.
And, because we could probably all use a little reminder that good things do happen, in this country and around the world, on occasion, look at this and this.
Today's Poem: "The Splendid Body" by Rebecca Lindenberg
That's all from me. Stay safe, take care, and see you next time.
